What Do We Do?
The 1st Waiheke Sea Scouts committee are responsible for the administrative part of the group. We meet regularly to discuss all of the aspects of running the group.
This includes everything from discussing membership, group leader roles, camp arrangements – to discussing and making decisions upon general group policy, procedural and programme matters, fund raising and finance aspects – and much more!
It’s also our role to make sure that the club’s assets (building, boats, equipment) are maintained and kept in good condition so that our members can get the most out of their scouting experience. We decide dates for events, and allocate roles for all our members who have volunteered to assist us.
We Need You!
We have a wonderful team of Leaders and parents who are kind and generous enough to help where help is needed! We welcome new members who can bring positive and constructive assistance to our group.
The Group Committee is elected at the Annual General Meeting and the current members / roles (as at April 2023) are listed below.

We generally meet every 1st Wednesday of the month at 7pm at the RSA, Ostend and there is usually space for non committee discussion at the beginning, before our closed group discussion commences.
Agendas and meeting notes are usually sent out to Leaders and Group Committee members.
